It Could Happen to You (1994)

A police officer sits down at a cafe but can’t afford to tip the waitress. Jokingly he suggests that if he wins the lottery, he will share the prize money with her. The police officer wins $4 million and plans to fulfil his promise, but his wife doesn’t approve his generosity, preferring to keep the winnings for herself. Starring Nicolas Cage, Bridget Fonda, and Rosie Perez, this romantic comedy is loosely based on a true story.
