2026 clearly decided to end this month with a bang. Last week finally saw the trailer release of ‘Coyote vs Acme’, a film that was originally cancelled by Warner Bros. Thankfully, new distribution company Ketchup Entertainment jumped in to save the film, and it will be released later this summer. With a blend of live-action and animation, it looks fantastic. It carries a perfect blend of looney tunes-style humour with the focal courtroom drama that’s wrapped round a plot that makes perfect sense. And it’s not ashamed to poke fun at Warner Bros themselves!
Two more highly anticipated trailers to be released earlier in the month were ‘Good Omens’ and ‘Godzilla: Minus Zero’. Whether the final season of ‘Good Omens’ will be a series or film like previously planned, it will see Crowley (David Tennant – Doctor Who, Jessica Jones) and Aziraphale (Michael Sheen – Frost/Nixon, Tron: Legacy) reunite as the Second Coming approaches. I’m intrigued to know how the show will ultimately end as well as how the two lead characters’ relationship will develop, considering how they ended up in the last season. There’s no doubt it’ll be emotional.
‘Godzilla: Minus Zero’ will surely be emotional too. Set two years after the amazing ‘Godzilla: Minus One’, it looks like the Kaiju will be heading to New York. The teaser is very short but shows everything that’s needed to be excited for this. And, like the previous two properties mentioned in this article, this is definitely one I’m very excited for, and I hope the sequel answers some questions that the last film asked at the end.
If one thing’s clear, it’s that April brought about some trailers to beloved, and highly anticipated, properties!
