Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (Final Trailer) – Trailer Talk

Last night saw the release of the final ‘Star Wars’ trailer, a film that’s due to come out at the end of this year and serve as a conclusion to the whole Star Wars saga…or so I hope.

I was a fan of the franchise but, after the disaster of ‘The Last Jedi’, I have given up on Star Wars. The last film in the main storyline backed itself into a dead end, plot-wise, and this trailer has done absolutely nothing to convince me it has anywhere to go.

It’s extremely bland and reminds us of characters and information that we already know from the previous films. The most interesting shot in the 2 minute 30 seconds trailer is one where Rey and Kylo Ren seem to be fighting side-by-side. I’m still hoping the saga ends with Rey joining the Dark Side.

By now, it’s time for the Jedi to die and it’s time for this franchise to die.

‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ will be in cinemas 20th December 2019.

The Rise of Skywalker will see the Resistance face the First Order once more, and the end of the ancient conflict between the Jedi and the SithPrincipal photography began in August 2018 at Pinewood Studios in England, and wrapped in February 2019. The film is scheduled to be released in the United States on December 20, 2019.

A year after the events of The Last Jedi, the remnants of the Resistance face the First Order once again—while reckoning with the past and their own inner turmoil. Meanwhile, the ancient conflict between the Jedi and the Sith reaches its climax, altogether bringing the Skywalker saga to a definitive end.

The visual effects will be provided by Industrial Light & Magic and supervised by Roger Guyett.

Megan’s taste in films are interesting: her favourite films are ‘Space Jam’, Studio Ghibli’s ‘The Cat Returns’, as well as horror films ‘Saw’, ‘Drag Me To Hell’ and ‘Ju-On: The Grudge’. When she’s not watching films, she’ll be spending precious hours playing ‘Crash Bandicoot’.
