Game of Thrones has been one of the most popular TV shows of the last few years, and as a result has given exposure to a lot of actors and actresses, some of whom were already quite well known, and others who are now getting the chance to show their talents to the world.

Lena Headey has been in over 70 feature films and TV shows, and also has a lead role in THE ADVENTURER: CASE OF THE MIDAS BOX. Her role in Game Of Thrones as the evil “Cersei Lannister”, has firmly established her as a household name.

This feature will take a look at what a few of the cast members have gone on to do since the start of the TV phenomenon that is Game of Thrones.



JASON MOMOA

 

Jason Momoa was an important character in the first season of the hit show as he played the “Khal Drogo”, the leader of the Dothraki people. His character was particular important has he had a relationship with “Daenerys Targaryen”, The Mother of Dragons, and a character who is a firm fan favourite. Since appearing in the show Jason has been cast in films including Conan the Barbarian, Bullet To The Head, Road to Palermo, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Debug.

PETER DINKLAGE

 

In 2011, Peter Dinklage landed a lead role, as “Tyrion Lannister”, on the HBO series, Game of Thrones. Tyrion’s wit made him a viewers favourite through the series and although he has been an actor for nearly 20 years, he is now getting the recognition his ability deserves. At The 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards Peter Dinklage won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his role. He is still in the show, but since that time has appeared or been cast in films including Ice Age :Continental Drift, X-Men: Days of Futures Past, and The Angriest Man in Brooklyn.

EMILIA CLARKE

 

Emilia Clarke is best known for her role as “Daenerys Targaryen” in Game of Thrones, and is one of the most popular characters within the show. She hatched three dragons by having her petrified dragon eggs placed on her husband “Khal Drogo’s” funeral pyre, before she walked into the flames to claim them. Her dragons are the first seen in the world for hundreds of years, earning her the sobriquet Mother of Dragons. Since appearing in the show Emlia has gone on to appear in films including Spike Island, and Dom Hemingway. She has recently been cast to play Sarah Connor in Terminator: Genisys alongside the original Terminator, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau

 

“Jaime Lannister” is a knight from The House of Lannister and is played in the show by Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. He is the second child and first-born son of “Lord Tywin Lannister” of Casterly Rock and his wife Lady Joanna. He is also the twin brother of Queen Cersei Lannister and brother of “Tyrion Lannister”. Nikolaj started acting in Denmark over 20 years ago and is a well known celebrity in his native country. Since appearing in the show he has appeared in films including Headhunters, Mama, Oblivion, 100 Times Good Night, The Other Woman, and Gods of Egypt.

LENA HEADEY 

 

Lena Headey is currently one of the main characters in the show, and is also one of the most hated due to her role as “Cersei Lannister”, the eldest child of Tywin Lannister, sister to Tyrion Lannister, and the twin sister of Jaime Lannister with whom she is involved in an incestuous relationship . Before landing the TV role of a lifetime Lena appeared in films including The 300, Brothers Grimm, and the TV show Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Since appearing in Game of Thrones, Lena has appeared in Dredd, The Purge, 300: Rise of an Empire, and THE ADVENTURER: CASE OF THE MIDAS BOX.

THE ADVENTURER: CASE OF THE MIDAS BOX is released on DVD and Digital Platforms from 27 October
