Haley Cuoco Edition: Bits & Pieces

Kaley Cuoco Edition: Bits & Pieces – Following his debut feature the Wild boys – After Blue (Dirty Paradise), the second feature from French director Bertrand Mandico is a wild ride with nods to Barbarella, Alejandro Jodorowsky’s El Topo and the wide brimmed stylings of Meiko Kaji. On a planet of psychedelic skies and landscapes where only women can survive, a woman and her teenage daughter are made to hunt a notorious killer – Katerina Buszowska – “Kate Bush”!  Starring Paula Luna, Elina Lowensohn, Vimala Pons & Agata Buzek.

You have to know the rules of dream world in order to break them. Jason Momoa and Marlow Barkley star in Slumberland, coming to Netflix this Thanksgiving.

Quirky, deadpan humour, an absurdist eye for French social etiquette and a keen sense of the folly of existence are among the hallmarks of the oddball comedies of director Quentin Dupieux (Rubber, Deerskin, Smoking Causes Coughing), and Incredible But True is no different. The film – released on Blu-ray 7th November from Arrow Video – has been described as “a fun little trinket that unmistakably comes from Dupieux’s far-out perspective” (Jessica Kiang, Variety) and “a film with something of Charlie Kaufman or Spike Jonze” (Peter Bradshaw, The Guardian).

Emancipation” tells the triumphant story of Peter (Smith), a man who escapes from slavery, relying on his wits, unwavering faith and deep love for his family to evade cold-blooded hunters and the unforgiving swamps of Louisiana on his quest for freedom. The film is inspired by the 1863 photos of “Whipped Peter,” taken during a Union Army medical examination, that first appeared in Harper’s Weekly. One image, known as “The Scourged Back,” which shows Peter’s bare back mutilated by a whipping delivered by his enslavers, ultimately contributed to growing public opposition to slavery.

While vacationing at a remote cabin, a young girl and her parents are taken hostage by four armed strangers who demand that the family make an unthinkable choice to avert the apocalypse. With limited access to the outside world, the family must decide what they believe before all is lost.

Kaley Cuoco Edition: Bits & PiecesBrian and Charles marks the feature directorial debut for Jim Archer, and is based on his 2017 acclaimed short film of the same name. Mediumrare Entertainment are releasing the film on Blu-ray and DVD on 24 October 2022.

EO, a gray donkey with melancholic eyes and a curious spirit, begins his life as a circus performer before escaping on a trek across the Polish and Italian countryside in a journey marked by absurdity and warmth in equal measure. Legendary filmmaker Jerzy Skolimowski directs one of his most free and visually inventive films yet, placing the viewer directly in the heart and mind of the four-legged protagonist.

Raymond & Ray” follows half-brothers Raymond and Ray who have lived in the shadow of a terrible father. Somehow, they still each have a sense of humor, and his funeral is a chance for them to reinvent themselves. There’s anger, there’s pain, there’s folly, there might be love, and there’s definitely grave-digging.

Emily (Plaza) is saddled with student debt and locked out of the job market due to a minor criminal record. Desperate for income, she takes a shady gig as a “dummy shopper,” buying goods with stolen credit cards supplied by a handsome and charismatic middleman named Youcef (Theo Rossi: Sons of Anarchy). Faced with a series of dead-end job interviews, Emily soon finds herself seduced by the quick cash and illicit thrills of black-market capitalism, and increasingly interested in her mentor Youcef. Together, they hatch a plan to bring their business to the next level and are pulled into the criminal underworld of Los Angeles…

A young American journalist (Margaret Qualley) stranded in present-day Nicaragua falls for an enigmatic Englishman (Joe Alwyn) who seems like her best chance of escape. She soon realizes, though, that he may be in even greater danger than she is. Adapted from Denis Johnson’s novel.
