Clifford The Big Red Dog

Clifford The Big Red Dog bounds straight into a Number 1 debut on the Official Film Chart. The live-action film based on the much-loved children’s book series flies straight to Number 1 based on digital downloads only.

Starring Darby Camp as Emily Elizabeth, and Jack Whitehall as her clueless uncle Casey, the pair are forced to go on the run when their little red puppy grows into a gigantic dog, and attracts the attention of a genetics company who want to supersize animals.

Meanwhile, the Stephen Spielberg-directed West Side Story dances up five places to land at a new peak of Number 2, following its release on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K UHD – becoming the biggest film on disc of the week.

Former chart-toppers Encanto (3), Dune (4) and No Time To Die (5) all move down one place, while last week’s Number 1 The King’s Man finishes five places down at Number 6.

The rest of the Top 10 features movement from recent favourites Ghostbusters: Afterlife, down one to Number 7, House Of Gucci which drops four to 9, and  Venom: Let There Be Carnage which rounds off at 10. DC’s The Suicide Squad holds at Number 8.

Outside the Top 10, 1999 classic The Green Mile enters the Official Film Chart for the very first time at Number 12, following the release of an Ultimate Collector’s Edition including remastered 4K UHD & Blu-Ray discs, unique artwork, and a 32-page booklet.

Finally, following the release of The Batman in cinemas, 2008’s The Dark Knight continues its ascension up the Official Film Chart – moving 14 places to Number 16.

Now, as well as OfficialCharts.com, the Official Film Chart can also be found on FindAnyFilm.com – the ultimate site for Film and TV fans to discover all the legal ways to buy the entertainment they want on disc and digital formats.
