Noeleen Comiskey, currently appearing as Marta Shirovs in BBC Series Eastenders, has confirmed that she is to join the cast of UK Independent Feature Film “The Criminal Audition”
The Criminal Audition follows a crime organisation that specialises in keeping their wealthy clients out of prison. The Organisation finds someone, usually down on their luck and desperate, who is willing to frame themselves for the perpetrator’s illegal activities in exchange for large sums of cash.
“So the film itself is a wonderful debate about society and the average person- what they might do for a lot of money, fame or even notoriety”, says Noeleen “It’s an interesting idea for a film and one I’m very excited to be on board with”
Noeleen has also appeared in Project Kronos (2013), TV Series The Bill and Law and Order: UK in 2012 as well as independent feature The Search For Simon (2013)
The Criminal Audition has been adapted from a play originally written by Kaile, which played to sell out audiences across London. “It’s a real challenge to adapt a script from stage to screen”, he says “but with the team I’ve assembled, we’ve never felt more confident in our vision for the movie. It’s going to surprise a lot of people.”
Directing the film will be Samuel Gridley in what will be his debut feature film. “It’s so exciting to be making this story with such a great team behind it” says Sam “the breadth and depth of the talent involved, as well as the unique concept and story, will make this a bold and innovative entry into UK feature filmmaking”
