Tina Fey Edition: Bits & Pieces – As part of the official Folio 400 celebrations taking place across the UK this week, BAFTA nominated film shorts director Jack Jewers has been commissioned by Folio 400 to create a series of film shorts celebrating the work of the great bard. The film shorts will be premiered at a special event in London on Wednesday 8th November, and I wanted to find out if you would be interested in hosting one of the six shorts on your website on Wednesday to mark the anniversary. 

A lyrical, decades-spanning exploration across a woman’s life in Mississippi, the feature debut from award-winning poet, photographer and filmmaker Raven Jackson is a haunting and richly layered portrait, a beautiful ode to the generations of people and places that shape us.

The HBO Original documentary YOU WERE MY FIRST BOYFRIEND, directed and produced by Cecilia Aldarondo (“Memories of a Penitent Heart,” “Landfall”) and co-directed by Sarah Enid Hagey, debuts WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 8 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and will be available to stream on Max. The film had its world premiere at the 2023 SXSW Film Festival. 



THE BOY AND THE HERON is a hand-drawn, original story written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki (Spirited AwayMy Neighbour Totoro). Produced by Studio Ghibli co-founder Toshio Suzuki, the film features a musical score from Miyazaki’s long-time collaborator Joe Hisaishi. The theme song for the film “Spinning Globe” was written and performed by global J-pop superstar Kenshi Yonezu.

Eddie Murphy stars in this holiday comedy adventure about a man on a mission to win his neighborhood’s annual Christmas home decoration contest. After Chris (Eddie Murphy) inadvertently makes a deal with a mischievous elf named Pepper (Jillian Bell) to better his chances of winning, she casts a magic spell that brings the 12 Days of Christmas to life, and wreaks havoc on the whole town. At the risk of ruining the holidays for his family, Chris, his wife Carol (Tracee Ellis Ross), and their three children must race against the clock to break Pepper’s spell, battle deviously magical characters, and save Christmas for everyone.

MUBI, the global distributor, streaming service and production company, released today a brand new full-length trailer for Priscillathe new hotly anticipated drama from Academy Award® winning director and screenwriter Sofia Coppola. The film will open theatrically in the UK and Ireland from 26 December 2023 with special 35mm previews in select cinemas. The film will be released widely from 1 January 2024.

Apple TV+ today revealed the trailer for season three of “Slow Horses,” the critically acclaimed espionage drama starring Academy Award winner Gary Oldman and adapted from “Real Tigers,” the third novel in the CWA Gold Dagger Award-winning Mick Herron spy series “Slough House.” The six-episode third season of “Slow Horses” will make its highly anticipated global debut on Wednesday, November 29 with the first two episodes, followed by one new episode weekly, every Wednesday through December 27, on Apple TV+.
