Fantasy Movie Fans: Two Great Slots

Two Great Slots for Fantasy Movie Fans

Two Great Slots for Fantasy Movie Fans

The fantasy genre has never been so popular with TV shows such as The Witcher, Game of Thrones, and The Wheel of Time all garnering critical and commercial success. With movies including Avatar 2,  Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore and The King’s Daughter arriving in 2022, the big screen loves a fantasy epic too.

It’s not just the streaming services and Hollywood that are looking to entice new customers with fantasy creations. For some unknown reason, slots have always flirted with fantasy elements such as wizards, unicorns, leprechauns and dragons.

Nowadays, slots offer a tremendous selection of different themes with lavish graphics, exciting soundtracks and immersive gameplay, but they still rely heavily on fantasy to pull in the next generation of gamers. These are two of the stand-out titles that should titillate fantasy fans.

MERLIN AND THE ICE QUEEN MORGANA

A warrior-king who killed ferocious monsters, battled giants and duelled with devilish sorcerers – who doesn’t like a King Arthur tale? Was he a legendary British leader or a nonexistent figure from folklore? Who cares, for today he lives on through retellings and reimaginings as a romantic figure that embodies all our desires of what a warrior-king should be. When we think of the legend of King Arthur, we conjure up images of Merlin, Guinevere, the sword Excalibur, and the esteemed knights of the round table. While these elements of the tale have been utilised in creating dramatic movies such as Guy Ritchie’s fantasy action-adventure King Arthur: Legend of the Sword or the cherished comedy Monty Python and the Holy Grail, they are also applicable to slot games.

Those that play slot games regularly couldn’t help but notice developer Play’n GO have created Merlin and the Ice Queen Morgana. It’s been heavily promoted by several online casinos and has become one of the more popular games in the genre.  This story focuses on Merlin embarking on a mission in the frozen wasteland to locate his apprentice Morgana, who flew from Camelot after her brother was crowned. Merlin encounters an Ice Queen governing the wasteland, who he discovers is Morgana. Play’n GO are experienced in creating these types of games and they’ve churned out another hit with this one.

LEGEND OF THE ICE DRAGON

Do you have a favourite dragon? Some like to go old-school and will go all the way back to the 80s with Granamyr from the classic He-Man series. Many might hold a torch from the Mother Dragon from Sucker Punch, or Drogon from Game Of Thrones. Yet, it’s very probable that Smaug would win if we were to take a vote. The greed, wrath and savagery made Smaug a memorable adversary and the voice-acting from Benedict Cumberbatch enabled moviegoers to feel the terror.

Whichever is your favourite, there’s no denying dragons remain hot property. This is why casino game developers love them and you’ll find Dragon’s Myth, Dragons and Magic, Dragon’s Inferno, Dragon Sisters, Double Dragons and a host of other dragon-themed slots available. Yet we’ve selected Legend of the Ice Dragon as it uses a seven-by-seven cascading layout to mix up the gameplay and the ice dragon theme is a little unique. It’s another offering from developers Play’n GO and with the Cascades, Ice Frames, Freezing, and Ice Crystal Features, it’s another successful addition to their library.

For fantasy fans, there are plenty of reasons to be excited about upcoming releases both on the big and small screen. For those that just can’t wait, these games offer an appealing adventure into fantasy gaming with real money up for grabs.
