Frozen 2: Trailer Talk

Frozen 2

Trailer Talk: Frozen 2. By Megan Williams.

Like a lot of people, Disney’s 2013 hit ‘Frozen’ caught my attention, and it quickly became one of my favourite Disney films. The first film was a huge success: it is the fifth highest grossing animated film ever and the fourth highest grossing film of all time, grossing over $1.2billion worldwide.

Because of its success, a sequel was inevitable and, while I was originally opposed to this announcement, I am now very excited to see ‘Frozen 2’ after watching the 2nd trailer.

‘Frozen 2’ appears to explore the history of Anna and Elsa’s hometown Arrendale, as well as explore the source of Elsa’s ice powers. An aspect of the first film I loved was the animation and the amount of detail that was put on the big screen, and this film looks to improve upon that (if that’s even possible!).

However, will this become as memorable as its predecessor? Parents beware: it might have a song more catchier than ‘Let It Go’. Only time will tell if that is the case.

‘Frozen 2’ is in cinemas 22nd November 2019.

Frozen 2 (stylized as Frozen II) is an upcoming American computer-animated musical fantasy film in production by Walt Disney Animation Studios.

The 58th film produced by the studio, it is the sequel to the 2013 film Frozen and features the returning voices of Idina MenzelKristen BellJonathan GroffJosh Gad, and Santino Fontana along with the new voices of Evan Rachel Wood and Sterling K. Brown. It is scheduled to be released by Walt Disney Pictures on November 22, 2019.

Megan’s taste in films are interesting: her favourite films are ‘Space Jam’, Studio Ghibli’s ‘The Cat Returns’, as well as horror films ‘Saw’, ‘Drag Me To Hell’ and ‘Ju-On: The Grudge’. When she’s not watching films, she’ll be spending precious hours playing ‘Crash Bandicoot’.
