Bits & Pieces: Allison Edition

Bits & Pieces: Allison Edition

Allison Argent was a main character and the former female lead of the Teen Wolf series. … During her time living in Beacon Hills, Allison had romantic relationships with Scott McCall and Isaac Lahey and was a member of the McCall Pack.

We will live each moment of Millan Ludeña’s journey starting from the intense logistical planning to the physical and mental challenges that he faces throughout this incredible journey of connecting the two most extreme points on the planet. He plans to do this by running a half marathon inside the deepest part of the world, the Mponeng Mine (4,000M below the Earth’s surface) in South Africa and then travel back to his home country to run a half marathon towards the closest point to the sun, Mt. Chimborazo (6,280M). The plan is to do all of this in less than 80 hours.

This revolutionary procedural comprises 12 unique stories set in 4 different countries: France, Spain, Germany and the UK. It takes place exclusively within the confines of a police interview suite. This stripped down, cat-and-mouse drama focuses on the intense mental conflict between detectives and suspects. The episodes are in local language, written and directed by talent from their respective countries.

From the deliciously twisted mind of filmmaker Yann Gonzalez (You And The Night), KNIFE + HEART is a erotically kitsch love letter to European giallo, American grindhouse cinema, and ’70s gay pornography. The film stars Vanessa Paradis and Nicolas Maury and is shot on glorious 35mm and fueled by a throbbing soundtrack from M83. Following the dramatic breakdown of her relationship with her girlfriend, gay porn producer Anne (Vanessa Paradis) launches herself into her latest and most ambitious film production. But as shooting gets underway, one of her stars is brutally murdered. Soon it becomes terrifyingly clear that a homicidal maniac is intent on bumping off the cast, one by one.

In the late 19th century, Edison, famous, iconoclastic and unwaveringly wed to his direct current system of electricity, begins a battle with publicity-shy industrialist Westinghouse, and his system of alternating current. The rivalry begins in his lab at Menlo Park, New Jersey, and spills onto the country’s front pages into a bitter court case. The two struggle via fair means and foul to win the War of the Currents. Hostilities boil and lives are lost as the rivalry plays out on a thrilling, world-changing scale. As the two vie for the right to power the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair, the arrival of an otherworldly Serb inventor called Nikola Tesla may finally tip the balance…

Simon Goodman (Liam Hughes) is a 16-year boy living in a rundown seaside town. With his best friend Joe Harper (Joe Daly), they create a comic book called SCRAWL as a way to escape their reality, gain some notoriety and more importantly pick up girls. Annie Williams (Annabelle Le Gresley), a girl who hides behind her camera and cannot forget the past gets wrapped up in the boys new world, along with Joe’s sister Rosie (Ellie Selwood) and suddenly, with the appearance of a mysterious girl, Hannah (Daisy Ridley), events in the comic book start to invade their reality and situations in the comic book come to life.

PAIN AND GLORY tells of a series of re-encounters experienced by Salvador Mallo (Antonio Banderas), a film director in his physical decline, some of them in the flesh, others remembered: his childhood in the 60s, when he emigrated with his parents to a village in Valencia in search of prosperity; his first desire; his first adult love in the Madrid of the 80s; the pain of the breakup of that love while it was still alive and intense and writing as the only therapy to forget the unforgettable; his early discovery of cinema; and the void, the infinite void that creates the incapacity for him to keep on making films.

The Movie Partnership are delighted to confirm their feel-good buddy comedy, Papi Chulo will be released on Digital Download on 22nd July. The film stars Matt Bomer, who is best known from the lead role of White Collar (and completely unrecognisable as the bandaged Negative Man in DC’s new TV series Doom Patrol). The film also stars D’Arcy Carden (The Good Place), who has just been confirmed to unveil the 2019 Emmy nominations alongside Ken Jeong.
