shortfil.ms is the new platform for the best – or oddest – short films on the web. The idea behind the project is simple: There are a gazillion of good short films nobody knows about. The team of shortfil.ms collects these unknown gems to make them way easier to be accessed. Furthermore, the team wants to give users the opportunity to discover new films if they do not look for a specific one.

For that reason the crew has developed the discovery tool available on the front page. The user prompts how much time he has and which genre he is keen on to watch. shortfil.ms provides a short film that fits his demands – and that even on mobile devices. The database is ever-growing for the shortfil.ms-team will add more films every day. In addition there will be blog posts with interesting background information on films or cast and crew.

The team of shortfil.ms consists of three cineastes from Cologne, Germany under the leadership of founder and developer Stefan Grund. He is supported by video- producer Peer Bresser and editor Sebastian Winand. The team thinks that the overriding task of shortfil.ms is to facilitate the access to astounding short films and to encourage users to discover unknown.
