Wakolda, an Argentinian film, is a powerful, multilayered historical thriller taking as its inspiration one of the darkest, most mysterious episodes in Argentine modern history. When a scientist befriends an Argentine family, in particular their young daughter Lilith, they unknowingly strike up a friendship with one of the world’s most terrifying war criminals, Josef Mengele aka the ‘Angel of Death’, the Nazi doctor who is on the run for his crimes in Auschwitz post World War II.

Wakolda is out in cinemas on 8th August.
