Prick Thy Neighbour Wins Film London Award

‘Prick Thy Neighbour’, a quirky romantic comedy short film written by Lisa Jacobs, has been selected for ‘London Calling’, Film London’s Short Film Fund. Onboard to direct is the multi talented British Film, TV & Theatre actress, Tara Fitzgerald (‘Game of Thrones’, ‘The Musketeers’, ‘Sirens’, ‘Brassed Off’, ‘Waking the Dead’).

‘London Calling’ is a continuation and expansion of the London Borough Film Fund Challenge, aimed at giving more opportunities to London’s new and emerging film-making teams resident in the capital.

In addition to the award of £4,000, the scheme provides filmmakers with training and mentoring, with support every step of the way. They have also been awarded a bursary of £1,000 by Four Corners – London’s Centre for Film & Photography.

In February they launched an innovative crowdfunding campaign on IndieGoGo to raise the additional funds that they’ll need in order to make the film. There is the opportunity to contribute anything from £10 upwards. In return, they are offering a whole variety of fantastic perks, from signed merchandise, to a VIP day on set, to an invite to the London screening and even lunch with the director Tara Fitzgerald.
