Having been linked with everyone from Taylor Swift to band mate Louis Tomlinson, it’s fair to say that One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles has plenty of famous admirers on top of his devoted Directioners. According to rumours, his latest love is Kendall Jenner, reality TV star and half-sister of Kim Kardashian.

So will we be seeing Harry’s signature curly hair and stylish men’s Vans on Keeping Up with the Kardashians any time soon, or is the rumour mill simply churning out nonsense?

Just friends… but for how long?

Actions speak louder than words, and despite the fact that both Kendall and Harry have claimed to be ‘just friends’, their coy behaviour suggests that some puppy love may be blossoming.

When asked whether he and Kendall were dating, Harry got a little flustered. The British star sounded almost like a Hugh Grant rom-com character as he blustered “I mean, we went out for dinner, but no, I guess… dunno… let’s move on, shall we?”

Kendall managed to act a little more blasé when she arrived at the American Music Awards, telling press, “No story, we’re friends. He’s cool.” Her calm exterior dropped soon after, with observers noting that she seemed to light up when Harry walked into the room: “As soon as Harry walked in, Kendall jumped up and gave him a huge hug,” one source said. Bless.

Will Taylor Swift cause any ‘Trouble’?

One of the biggest stories surrounding the burgeoning romance is the reaction of Harry’s ex, country singer Taylor Swift. While Kendall and Harry enjoyed spending time together at the AMAs, Taylor was reportedly unimpressed. Reports claim that she went out of her way to talk about her heartbreak over Harry as she collected her four awards, and then pointedly ignored her ex squeeze backstage.

Her friends reckon that stories about a love triangle are overblown. Speaking to Hollywood Life, a source close to the singer says Taylor is “not really letting it get to her, because she isn’t dating Harry. Jealousy isn’t setting in.”

‘What About’ Austin Mahone?

Harry isn’t the only one in demand. Kendall has her own admirer in the form of What About Love singer Austin Mahoney. The 17-year-old star presented an award alongside her at the AMAs, and brazenly told E!News that he has a major crush on her. He went on to say he’d love to take her for dinner on top of the Eiffel Tower, and that he’d be a better match for her than Styles because “I’ll treat her right”.

Is the whole thing a publicity stunt?

Some reports have suggested that Harry and Kendall’s first date wasn’t set up by her sister Khloé and his friend Nick Grimshaw, but by the stars’ publicists. According to Entertainment Wise, an inside source said “they were originally put together on dates to get him in the news for album selling purposes, and to make Kendall get some news as well.”

But is being set up by publicists that much different to being set up on a blind date by your friends? Despite how cynical the manoeuvre might have been, it seems that the two youngsters have really hit it off.
