Macmillan Cancer Support Fundraising Event
6th October, 5pm – 11pm at Gwdihw, Cardiff
Drizzle…grey skies…burnt BBQs…wet school sports days…just another typical British summer…BUT NOT THIS YEAR! Due to an unusual amount of sun this summer, we have decided to hold a more ‘traditional’ retro sports day in October (in the back in Gwdihw, in Cardiff)! This retro sports day event will be held as a raffle, so if your ticket gets picked, you will compete in either a 3 Legged Race, Egg and Spoon Race or Wheel Barrow Race. Winners get to pick from our assortment of donated prizes. fORGET mE nOT productions , the people who have raised over £1,500 for UK cancer charities (with The Masked Ball and The Masked Ball part 2) are presenting this fun packed evening.
The event will be opened by 17 year old comedian Luke Smith (hot off the press after his Green Man Festival debut) and local vocal harmony group SING! It will also include the musical talents of Dave Morris and the Knock, Cwtch and Project Aids Kitten, as well as a live ‘bandeoke’ in the interim.
There is also a mini movie festival segment being judged by multi-award winning filmmaker James Plumb and producer James Peter Lucas. It will showcase a real assortment of talent from across the country.
Entry is £4 donation, all proceeds go to Macmillan Cancer Support. There is something for everyone at Pick and Mix Allsorts, so come along and show your support.
