Cars Driven By The Stars!

film reviews | movies | features | BRWC Cars Driven By The Stars!

The economic woes of the U.S. are not only affecting the middle class driver. Lots of celebrities are either being sensible, or crashing from their ivory tower when they make some of their car purchases and DriverSide.com has highlighted John Goodman, Conan O”Brien and Daniel Radcliffe as a few of the absurdly typical examples of celebs driving used cars; it”s hard to fathom the star of “Kill Bill,” Kate Moss driving a 1966 MG Midget MK III, when she can safely afford 50 new Lamborghinis. While her mini is lacking in features that many expect in a celebrities” car, it does a good job ripping up the road, which is a plus for a speed demon like Kate.

Seeing a celebrity driving a used car might seem like they”ve hit rock bottom. However, it”s possible that they”re attempting to reduce the earth”s carbon dioxide emissions, or maybe they only qualify for used cars. Maybe they just really like the vintage look.

Late Night With Conan”s Taurus

Conan O”Brien really wowed us with his wheels. He could afford to purchase a new car and run it off a cliff twice a week if he wished. The practical coupon-clipping comedian, and former Late Night Show host, shared with the media that the car he drives around is a 1992 Ford Taurus SHO. O”Brien”s wacky ways spill over into much more than his jokes, his car choice borders on the bizarre. Here”s proof, if you”re in doubt; the crazy Irish comedian takes an interviewer from 60 minutes on a drive through Los Angeles in his filthy four-door.

Harry Potter Drives Your Mom”s Car

Daniel Radcliffe, the star of the Harry Potter movie franchise, was hoping to make an impression on sensible drivers when he purchased a 2007 Fiat Grande Punto. The three-door car is super eco-friendly and your best bet to save on fuel. It”s a very popular pic in Britain, for folks who want to go the sustainable route, but c”mon Danny, when”re you gonna live a little?

Clint Eastwood

“What you have to ask yourself is, do I feel lucky? Well do ya” punk?” Clint Eastwood can make any car look tough. He drives the GMC Typhoon. The Typhoon only has two model years, 1992 and 1993. GMC put a potent turbocharged 4.3-liter V-6 under the hood, with a powerplant to an all-wheel drive system; it”s one of the quickest SUVs around.

Zac Efron

Zac Efron may have been the coolest kid in High School Musical, but he”s far from being the coolest kid while driving his 1999 Oldsmobile Alero around. It may be reliable transportation, but most actual high school seniors would laugh at that set of wheels. Either he”s method acting or he”s the most humble actor.
