Simon Welsford’s mind bending conspiracy thriller Jetsam will be released in the US and Canada by MVD with a street date set for February 19th 2013.
Starring Alex Reid (Wilderness), Jamie Draven (Billy Elliott) and Shauna Macdonald (The Descent) Jetsam, which premiered at Slamdance before screenings at Brussels Film Festival, SF Indie Fest and Boston Underground Film Festival tells the story of a woman washed up on a beach with no memory of who she is until a stranger attacks her. As she runs for her life, her memory returns in flashbacks, drawing her to an ancient ruin where she finds her answers in an unrelenting world of spies, betrayal and obsession.
Frequently compared to Chris Nolan’s Memento and Francis Ford Coppola’s The Conversation, Jetsam‘s intricate narrative structure which juxtaposes flashbacks with implanted memories is a cinematic meditation on conspiracy and paranoia which won Best Film at London Independent Film Festival.
