Take A Hike – Short

film reviews | movies | features | BRWC Take A Hike - Short

Written and directed by Mark Blitch ‘Take A Hike’ was nominated for 12 awards at the 168 Festival. It won 2 (Best Comendy and Best Screenplay – Comedy) and it is easy to see why as it features beautiful cinematography, well rounded thought out characters, stunning music and an ultimately quite charming and funny storline.

This short follows Adam (Taylor Brandt) trying to impress his girlfriend’s father, David (Todd Terry). Any man will tell you this is a daunting enough prospect at the best of times, least of all when you accidentally get the girl pregnant! Add to this mix a forced bonding trip into a forest and a snake biting your future father in law in the leg and it makes for a great little comedy.

Heart warming, poignant and funny, this short deserves more than 2 awards.
