After over five years in the making, underground zombie hit movie Stag Night of the Dead will be released in the UK on DVD 9th January. The film is the debut feature of Napoleon Jones and has been attracting the interest of zombie fans all over the world since its online “theatrical” run last year. Dean Boor of Shock Horror Magazine described the film as “f*cking awesome” and Tony Schaab, creator of TheGOREScore.com, called it “a one-of-a-kind zombie viewing experience”.

The DVD release includes exclusive behind-the-scenes features and is available now for pre-order on both Amazon (http://amzn.to/snotd-dvd-uk) and Play.com (.

Originally conceived in the summer of 2006, it’s been a long journey for Jones and his team but he’s been delighted with the response from zombie fans. “It’s a quirky B movie that doesn’t take itself too seriously but has a heart which I think most people appreciate. I always wanted to make a zombie film that took a different view on the genre and the feedback we’ve had has been amazing.”

Set in the aftermath of a zombie outbreak, the film follows a group of likely lads as they head off to a run down military base with a PVC clad stripper for the ultimate stag party experience. Forget paintball, at Zomball you get to shoot zombies with stun guns. It’s a game that is literally more than life or death. After breaking the golden rule of Zomball – “never humiliate a zombie” – it becomes a fight for survival as the truth about the new world order is revealed and suddenly the mother-in-law is the least of Dean’s problems…
