Kill Keith

Kill Keith: Vol 1.   – a comedy-horror in 2D.

Keith ‘Cheggers’ Chegwin is a household name and has been at the top of his game for nearly 40 years. He’s an all round entertainer and has lived with us via our TV screens on Swap Shop as kids through to GMTV as parents. He is undoubtedly a national treasure, and for nearly four decades has been much loved by viewers young and old. But now it’s time to Kill Keith.

The year is 2011 and hidden away in a damp dark and blood stain cellar is a mysterious stranger; a man, a figure in the dark, someone we’d rather not know – he’s a killer. He sits through the small hours watching Swap Shop on fast forward over and over again. Cheggers Plays Pop posters decorate the cellar walls. The stranger moves slowly around his memorabilia filled shrine; terrifying equipment of torture fill the basement together with the remains of past victims stored and catalogued in a fridge. In a cage suspended from the ceiling is Derek Biggs bound and gagged while being subjected to archive TV clips of Keith ‘Cheggers’ Chegwin. Biggs is the senior producer of the Crack of Dawn TV Breakfast Show and is tortured until he reveals the celebrities on the shortlist for the anchor presenter job. Biggs can take no more and begs to be killed. The killer is on an evil crusade.

Cliff and Dawn are the early morning TV presenters on the nations favourite breakfast show; The Crack of Dawn. Danny Nichols is the hapless day dreaming studio runner who longs to be a presenter and sit alongside the woman of his dreams…Dawn. Sadly Cliff is leaving and the new host is a safely guarded secret…that is until the short list of 4 slowly begin to disappear. The celebrity bodies turn up mutilated with a calling card stapled to their foreheads. Cheggers, Tony Blackburn, Joe Pasquale and others fear for their lives. What is the killer’s unhealthy obsession with Keith Chegwin? Who else will die before the new presenter is unveiled. Will Danny get the job and girl of his dreams? How safe is Cheggers from the psycho the newspapers have dubbed the “The Breakfast Cereal Killer”.
