I’ve been informed that the Vanessa Redgrave is throwing herself into work so soon after the loss of her daughter Natasha Richardson. She’s signed up to be involved in Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood project, Nottingham and is set to play Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine, mother of the folklore hero’s nemesis King John, played by Oscar Isaacs.
Redgrave will join Russell Crowe as Robin Hood and Cate Blanchett, who was drafted as Maid Marion after Sienna Miller dropped out.

Sienna Miller would of been so much better…I know people wont agree with this but i’m starting to get over watching Cate Blanchett.. i just find her rather bland these days and couldnt they have chosen someone younger ?? In a few weeks she’s 40 years old !
How can they go from picking a HOT 27 year old to a definetely NOT hot 40 year old ?? …For me this just sums up Ridley Scott.
What do you think Sledge ?
I think Cate is great.
She just hasn’t had THE role yet….
Hopefully this film will help…
Sienna Miller is HOT, but she’s no actress.
I watched Miller in a little movie with Steve Buscemi called Interview and thought she was quite good – just needs a bigger opportunity and everyone deserves a chance, ya know ?
Blanchett won an oscar for playing Katherine Hepburn for Scorsese but…mmm, look surely you admit i have a point bout the age ? Someone a little younger would of been a bit more ‘fresh’.
Good points there Trev.
I haven’t seen Interview, but will add on my Lovefilm.
Cheers man. I just remember watching her in that film and being impressed..
Thats the 2nd time you’ve mentioned ‘Lovefilm’ – what does this mean ?
Have a looksee.
