Based on the CIA analyst created by espionage master Tom Clancy, “Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit” is a blistering action thriller that follows Ryan (Chris Pine, “Star Trek”) from his quiet double-life as a veteran-turned-Wall Street executive to his all-out initiation as a hunted American agent on the trail of a massive terrorist plot in Moscow.

Ryan appears to be just another New York executive to his friends and loved ones, but his enlistment into the CIA secretly goes back years. He was brought in as a brainy Ph.D. who crunches global data – but when Ryan ferrets out a meticulously planned scheme to collapse the U.S. economy and spark global chaos, he becomes the only man with the skills to stop it. After winning awards at Fantastic Fest in Austin and Screamfest in Los Angeles, Oren Carmi’s acclaimed thriller GOLDBERG & EISENBERG looks set to take 2014 by storm after being selected to screen in official competition at SLAMDANCE in Park City.

Confirming the new wave of ‘Hebrew Horror’ established by recent Israeli genre films such as Rabies, Big Bad Wolves and Cannon Fodder, GOLDBERG & EISENBERG is a darkly comedic thriller about a lonely computer programmer who becomes the victim of a psychopathic stalker and will screen at Slamdance on January 19th and 21st 2014.

“There are numerous points of reference for Carmi’s genre-bending style of filmmaking; the dark deadpan humor and absurdism of the Coen Brothers is an obvious source for comparison. However, this film is coming from an unique and original place. In addition to being a skilled storyteller, Carmi has a special knack for extracting humor out of grave situations. He pushes this scenario into extremely uncomfortable territory without ever losing his grip on the characters and narrative – Rodney Perkins, Fantastic Fest.

American teenager Daisy (Ronan) has attitude to burn. Her mother died giving birth to her, and now her dad has sent her away for the summer to live with her aunt and cousins in the English countryside. Defiant and unhappy, city girl Daisy refuses at first to warm to her rural new surroundings or the three cousins she’s meeting for the first time. With their mum (Ch ancellor) engrossed in her role as a peace negotiator, they have the run of this romantic bohemian idyll to themselves and slowly, Daisy begins to thaw. Plus, there’s something about her quiet, watchful older cousin that not only intrigues Daisy, but stirs something deep inside. Their perfect summer is blown apart by the sudden outbreak of a 21st century world war, leaving them isolated and forced to fend for themselves. When they are violently separated Daisy must embark on a terrifying journey in order to get back home.

Featuring a haunting and beautiful original soundtrack composed by Jon Hopkins, long term collaborator of Brian Eno and ‘Coldplay’ and featuring ‘Bat for Lashes’ vocalist Natasha Khan and acoustic sensation ‘Daughter’, HOW I LIVE NOW boasts a triumphant score underpinning the action.

IRON SKY: DICTATOR’S CUT – featuring an additional twenty minutes of never seen before footage, will screen with Director Timo Vuorensola and Producer Tero Kaukomaa in attendance at a special one off event at the Prince Charles Cinema, Leicester Square on Saturday 1st Februay 2014 at 6.00 PM.
