    Synopsis:

Deep in the heart of one of Jakarta’s most deprived slums stands an impenetrable high-rise tower block. To most it is 30 floors of hell, housing the city’s most dangerous criminals including gangsters, drug dealers, killers and the area’s most notorious crime lord. The people fear it, the police dare not go near it however in a desperate bid to flush out these offenders an elite SWAT team is tasked with infiltrating the building. Cloaked under the cover of pre-dawn darkness the mission begins and rather than being a clean sweep becomes a fight for survival for all those involved.

  • Mistaken For Strangers In Cinemas In June (UPDATE: Screening Dates)

Mistaken For Strangers In Cinemas In June (UPDATE: Screening Dates)

    UPDATE:

There is a special screening on June 14th across the UK & Ireland.

Michael Moore has called it ‘one of the best documentaries about a band that I’ve ever seen’. The band is The National and the film Mistaken for Strangers is a rock documentary like no other.

Matt Berninger is the lead singer of acclaimed rock band The National, his younger brother Tom is a loveable slacker, who lives at home and makes low budget movies.

The night before the band embark on their biggest tour, Matt invites Tom to join them as a roadie, but Tom has other ideas and his camera comes along for the ride. As he tries to capture the behind-the-scenes action, he winds up the band by poking the camera where it’s not wanted, learns that they aren’t as rock-and-roll as he want them to be and generally fails in his tour duties.

Tom’s camera captures his journey as he finds himself living in Matt’s shadow and acting out in a way only a little brother can – drinking, complaining, and struggling to balance his ambition with his responsibilities. An amazingly intimate and spirited film, Mistaken For Strangers delves into the joys and struggles of brotherhood.

Following huge critical acclaim in the US, Mistaken for Strangers will be released in the UK in cinemas and on digital platforms 27 June 2014, before being released on DVD 14 July 2014, courtesy of Dogwoof.

  • New Trailer For The Edge Of Tomorrow

New Trailer For The Edge Of Tomorrow

The new trailer for epic sci-fi thriller EDGE OF TOMORROW, released in IMAX, 3D and select 2D cinemas on May 30 2014.

Oscar nominee Tom Cruise (the “Mission: Impossible” films, “Collateral,” “Jerry Maguire”) and Emily Blunt (“The Devil Wears Prada,” “The Adjustment Bureau”) star in Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Village Roadshow Pictures’ sci-fi thriller EDGE OF TOMORROW, under the direction of Doug Liman (“The Bourne Identity,” “Mr. & Mrs. Smith”).

The epic action of ‘Edge of Tomorrrow’ unfolds in a near future in which an alien race has hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault, unbeatable by any military unit in the world.

Major William Cage (Cruise) is an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is unceremoniously dropped into what amounts to a suicide mission. Killed within minutes, Cage now finds himself inexplicably thrown into a time loop—forcing him to live out the same brutal combat over and over, fighting and dying again…and again.

But with each battle, Cage becomes able to engage the adversaries with increasing skill, alongside Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski (Blunt). And, as Cage and Rita take the fight to the aliens, each repeated encounter gets them one step closer to defeating the enemy.

The international cast also includes Bill Paxton (“Aliens,” HBO’s “Big Love”), Kick Gurry (Australian TV’s “Tangle”), Dragomir Mrsic (“Snabba Cash II”), Charlotte Riley (“World Without End”), Jonas Armstrong (BBC TV’s “Robin Hood”), and Franz Drameh (“Attack the Block”).

Liman is directing “Edge of Tomorrow” from a screenplay by Christopher McQuarrie and Jez Butterworth & John-Henry Butterworth, based on the acclaimed novel All You Need is Kill by Hiroshi Sakurazaka. Erwin Stoff produces, along with Tom Lassally, Jason Hoffs, Gregory Jacobs and Jeffrey Silver. The executive producers are Doug Liman, Dave Bartis, Joby Harold, Hidemi Fukuhara, and Bruce Berman, with Kim Winther and Tim Lewis serving as co-producers.

The behind-the-scenes team includes Academy Award®-winning director of photography Dion Beebe (“Memoirs of a Geisha”), production designer Oliver Scholl (“Jumper,” “Independence Day”), editor James Herbert (“Sherlock Holmes,” “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows”), costume designer Kate Hawley (upcoming “Pacific Rim”), and Oscar®-nominated visual effects supervisor Nick Davis (“The Dark Knight”). “Edge of Tomorrow” is the first motion picture to be shot at the recently christened Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden.

“Edge of Tomorrow” is a presentation of Warner Bros. Pictures, in association with Village Roadshow Pictures. Opening worldwide beginning on June 6, 2014, the film will be distributed in 2D and 3D in select theatres and IMAX by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company, and in select territories by Village Roadshow.

EDGE OF TOMORROW is released in UK cinemas and IMAX on May 30, 2014
