THE PEASANTS tells the story of Jagna, a young woman determined to forge her own path within the confines of a late 19th century Polish village – a hotbed of gossip and on-going feuds, held together, rich and poor, by pride in their land, adherence to colourful traditions and a deep-rooted patriarchy. When Jagna finds herself caught between the conflicting desires of the village’s richest farmer, his eldest son and other leading men of the community, her resistance puts her on a tragic collision course with the community around her.

Dogwoof is thrilled to announce that BEYOND UTOPIA, the illuminating must-see documentary from Madeleine Gavin (City of Joy) that uses hidden camera footage to track the perilous, high-stake journey that North Korean defectors undertake to escape oppression, is releasing to on Digital and Dogwoof On Demand from 31^st January 2024 after its initial release in cinemas on 27^th October 2023. The film premiered at Sundance earlier this year where it received the US Documentary Audience Award.

MUBI, the global distributor, streaming service and production company has announced the theatrical release date for Rodrigo Moreno’s (El Custodio) critically acclaimed The Delinquents, along with the full-length trailer and theatrical artwork. The film will be released in the UK and Ireland on 22 March 2024.
