MUBI, the global distributor, streaming service and production company, is pleased to announce that Carla Simón’s (Summer 1993) Alcarràs will open theatrically in the UK & Ireland on January 6, 2023 and will be exclusively streaming on MUBI from February 24, 2023. The film, which won the Golden Bear award at this year’s Berlinale and is nominated for Best European Film, Best European Screenwriter, and the European University Film Award at the 2022 European Film Awards. The film was picked to represent Spain at the 2023 Academy Awards® for Best International Feature.
