Halo TV Series Teaser Trailer – Trailer Talk

Written by Megan Williams

The Game Awards 2021 took place three weeks ago and, aside from the awards, the event was an opportunity for video game related media to reveal their trailers for the first time. One of them was something that was already covered (‘Sonic The Hedgehog 2’), but the other trailer was one that was revealed quite late into the event. Because of its timing (thanks to UK time zones), this was one that I missed until recently, and that is the teaser for the ‘Halo’ TV show.

Bungie’s Xbox exclusive is a game that I’ve always loved. However, due to never owning an Xbox, my memory of the franchise was playing the multiplayer mode with friends, an aspect that I enjoyed. Not only was it a lot of fun to play, but the visuals were interesting, and the combat made the game exciting. And, while ‘Halo’ has been adapted into films before, a TV series makes sense to fully showcase the story that the franchise tells. And, from the 1-minute teaser, the series looks incredible. We’re now in an era where shows can have the same type of budget as a movie, meaning they look fantastic. And it looks like Paramount have poured a lot of money into this series because the look of the world its presenting is amazing. Plus, Master Chief looks awesome!

Because of the huge world and characters that ‘Halo’ has created over time, a TV show makes perfect sense for the gaming franchise, and it’s made a brilliant first impression in its 1-minute teaser. The show will premiere on Paramount+ and I will definitely make sure I can check it out.

Megan’s taste in films are interesting: her favourite films are ‘Space Jam’, Studio Ghibli’s ‘The Cat Returns’, as well as horror films ‘Saw’, ‘Drag Me To Hell’ and ‘Ju-On: The Grudge’. When she’s not watching films, she’ll be spending precious hours playing ‘Crash Bandicoot’.
