Casino Movies You Must Watch

The Hangover

It’s no secret that the movie industry has influenced the casino one. Thanks to some blockbuster movies slot players have some interesting video slots on offer. But the influence is in fact, mutual. Some elements of the casino industry are found in the movie one. A lot of amazing movies feature casinos or casino games. You’ve probably heard about the Ocean’s Eleven, Casino Royale, and other titles. They’re casino movies and they’re great! So if you’re looking for some new casino titles to watch here are a few suggestions:

The Gambler

Mark Wahlberg plays the role of Jim Bennett beautifully. He’s a literature professor that is solely interested in self-destruction. Thanks to his gambling addiction he puts himself in a very tough spot. He ends up owing $200,000 to Lee, the owner of an underground high-stakes gambling ring, and $50,000 to Neville Baraka.

If that wasn’t enough he puts himself in more debt and his mother comes to help. She gives him the money that he carelessly gambles away. This whole movie seems like a slow slide downwards but the end will surprise you.

Naturally, Jim would’ve done a lot better if he’d played at an online casino. His roulette skills in the movie would make him a formidable player online. Roulette is a game of skill and he’s a skilled player. Casino sites offer French, American and European roulette as well as variants of live roulette. Casino sites like casino.netbet.com don’t rig their roulette games, unlike underground rings. Instead, they make sure their fair through the use of RNGs. Furthermore, they offer plenty of bonuses that can help players if they play them right.

Bookies

This title isn’t exactly a casino movie since it’s about sports betting. However, many online casinos today offer an online sportsbook to accommodate the needs of sports fans. These sites make sure bettors have plenty of sports to choose from. Cricket fans will be happy that their needs can be met online. With the addition of some bonuses cricket betting can become much more interesting. If you’re looking for such a site then NetBet Sports is your best bet. Back to the movie.

Casey, Toby, and Jude have hand enough of placing lousy bets with the local mobsters and decide to start their own bookmaking business. They come up with an ingenious idea. They use the library to help set up their operation. The whole thing blows up and they’re making a lot of money. Unfortunately, they get the attention of the mobsters that don’t like having competition. You’ll have to watch this one to the end to see what happens.

The Hangover

What could go wrong with throwing a bachelor’s party in Vegas? Well, a lot actually. Phil, Stu, and Alan go to Vegas to celebrate Doug’s marriage to Tracy. It all starts with a clink of glasses on a rooftop. The next morning Alan, Stu, and Phil wake up and have no memory of the previous night.

Oh and Doug’s missing. The mishaps of the Wolfpack will have you laughing out loud. Besides being set in Vegas, one of the most popular casinos on the strip, Caesar’s Palace is featured in the film. It’s one of the many casinos in movies you can visit in real life.

Rounders

This poker flick is amazing from start to finish. It features a stellar cast including the likes of Matt Damon, John Malkovich, John Turturro, and Edward Norton. Mike is a law student that has managed to finance his studies by playing poker. One night he tries to up the ante but loses a lot of money. From that moment on he decides not to play anymore. That is until Worm comes out of prison and gets him in a lot of trouble. It all comes down to a single poker game played in the end. Who’ll come up in the end? You’ll have to watch to find out!

Owning Mahowny

Dan Mahowny is a bank employee who isn’t what he seems like. His co-workers, girlfriend, and clients know him as an honest man. But behind that façade hides a compulsive gambler that has “borrowed” bank money more than once to cover his gambling debts. His company isn’t good at all as he spends time with Victor, a sleazy casino boss.

He encourages Dan to have more and more debts. This prompts Dan to steal more money. However, the missing money is becoming hard to hide and Dan’s live spirals out of control. Owning Mahowny features a spectacular performance, Phillip Seymour Hoffman. What’s interesting about this movie is that only focuses on the depths of gambling addiction and the dark side of the casino world.
