After eight seasons of the award-winning HBO series, the boys are back in the much-anticipated Entourage The Movie which arrives on digital download on 12th October and on Blu-ray TM and DVD from 26th October.

Movie star Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier), together with brother Johnny (Kevin Dillon) and the rest of the boys are back in business with super-agent-turned-studio head Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven). Some of their ambitions have changed, but the bond between them remains strong as they navigate the capricious and often cutthroat world of Hollywood with hilarious antics.

In Entourage The Movie, we find out that it was Vincent’s starring role in a Mentos chewing gum advert that first caught the eye of super agent Ari Gold, which quickly lead to roles in some monster hits which then propelled him into stardom. To celebrate the home entertainment release of Entourage The Movie we take a trip down memory lane and look at where some of the biggest stars in Hollywood first got spotted.

KEVIN CONNOLLY

Entourage’s very own Kevin Connolly began his career at age 6 appearing in adverts including several for Chips Ahoy! The small roles paid off and at 16 years old he landed his first film role in smash hit Rocky V. But it’s safe to say that Connolly’s best-known role is the character Eric Murphy, or “E”, in Entourage, the beloved character that he started in 2004 and played for 7 years, returning for the long awaited Entourage The Movie.

LEONARDO DICAPRIO

Leonardo DiCaprio started his career at a very young age; he was first cast in a chewing gum advert for Bubble Yum in 1979 when he was only 5 years old, apparently no one could resist his talent even back then. He got his first big break at the age of 15 when he starred in Parenthood and in 1997 at only 22, he became a world-wide star as Jack Dawson in Titanic. Further legendary roles have followed including the lead roles in Inception and The Wolf Of Wall Street.

NATALIE PORTMAN

Nothing says “model material” quite like a girl who can enjoy a good pizza. Natalie Portman was discovered at a pizza restaurant in New York when a modelling agency approached her, proving that it could happen to any of us! In 1992 11-year-old Portman passed on the modelling gig but pursued acting instead (naturally) landing an agent that led to her breakout role in 1994’s Leon: The Professional. The following year, she sustained her popularity with a captivating performance as Al Pacino’s troubled daughter in Heat. Portman later swanned her way into the public’s heart and won an Academy Award© for her role in Black Swan.

CHANNING TATUM

Channing Tatum received a scholarship to play American football at university but instead dropped out of school and moved to Miami, Florida. It comes as no surprise that the 18-year-old was discovered on the streets and signed with a modelling agency. It took no time at all for him to receive modelling gigs for ads with Gap and Abercrombie & Fitch. He also went on to star in television commercials for Mountain Dew and Pepsi. Tatum gained his first acting role in CSI: Miami in 2004. He has continued on to become one of the XXL-est actors in Hollywood.

JENNIFER LAWRENCE

At age 14, Jennifer Lawrence was on holiday in New York with her mother when a talent scout approached her (and one can assume Jennifer Lawrence must have looked better than most girls at 14), the agent took a picture and from there onwards there was no looking back as a number of agencies were keen to snap Jennifer up. At age 16 she started acting in adverts for MTV before filming the thriller Devil You Know. Everyone now recognises Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen, the lead in The Hunger Games trilogy but Lawrence is also commonly known as Hollywood’s resident “cool girl” and we love her for it.

JOHNNY DEPP

Johnny Depp has become well known for his bizarre and imitable characters. He started his acting career at just 21-years-old as one of Freddy Kruger’s victims in the 1984 film A Nightmare on Elm Street, but he landed the role completely by accident. He was accompanying a friend to an audition when the producers spotted him and asked him to read for the part of Glen Lantz. He received a Screen Actors Guild Award© in 2004 for his swashbuckling role as Captain Jack Sparrow, in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl and a Golden Globe Award in 2008 for his killer performance in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
