The world premiere for the most anticipated cinema event of the year — The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, the epic conclusion to Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit Trilogy — will make its worldwide debut in London on December 1, 2014. The Oscar-winning filmmaker, along with members of his cast and filmmaking team, will greet fans and the world’s media on the red carpet in London’s iconic Leicester Square in the first of many global events to celebrate the end of the 13-year cinematic journey to Middle-earth.Further attendees and details to be announced.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, a production of New Line Cinema and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures (MGM), will be released worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, and in select international territories by MGM.  The film opens in the UK on December 12, 2014.
