The Prince Charles Cinema and the British Film Institute (BFI) are giving young British filmmakers a money-can’t-buy opportunity to have their work screened in the heart of London’s entertainment capital, during the Film Festival season this October.
We are looking for the hottest new UK filmmakers to submit an UNSCREENED, original short film to become part of an evening showcasing new British filmmaking talent.
The brief is simple; your short film can be of any genre or medium, but must
- be an original, mastered film
- be no longer than 10 minutes in length
- not have been shown at a public screening event before October 19th, 2014
Ten filmmakers will be selected by the Prince Charles Cinema and BFI Future Film and be invited to attend a red carpet event of new film talent hosted at the Prince Charles Cinema in Leicester Square on October 19th to mark the end of the 2014 London Film Festival.
THE CAREER OPPORTUNITY
- Receive £1,000
- Have their film screened at the Prince Charles Cinema on the evening of October 19th, 2014 (the closing night of the London Film Festival)
- Invitation to attend the screening + 2 complimentary tickets for friends & family (travel expenses not covered)
Nine Finalists, as selected by the Prince Charles Cinema, BFI Future Film, and guest judge Noel Goodwin, will:
- Have their film screened at the Prince Charles Cinema on the evening of October 19th, 2014 (the closing night of the London Film Festival)
- Invitation to attend the screening + 2 complimentary tickets for friends & family (travel expenses not covered)
