Wild Futures’ Monkey Sanctuary is proud to be showcased in this year’s Cornwall Film Festival thanks to top film maker Chris Jones.
Chris visited The Monkey Sanctuary earlier this year and interviewed primate keeper, Hollie Lewis. In the film, Hollie articulately tells the story of The Monkey Sanctuary and how it has evolved over the past 49 years into leading primate welfare charity, Wild Futures.
Hayley Dann, Head of Income Generation and PR at Wild Futures states: “It was an absolute pleasure to work with the highly professional Chris Jones this year. We are thrilled with his finished piece of work and have been proudly showing it at events across the south west and through our social networks. As a charity, we do not have a budget for films, yet we recognise it is an important communication medium in today’s world. We are therefore very grateful to Chris for producing such a quality piece of film.”
Chris Jones stated: “I am very pleased to be featured at the film festival again this year. The film was made to highlight the important work that The Monkey Sanctuary carries out on a daily basis and without which many primates would continue to suffer tremendous neglect.”
The film will shortly be embedded on The Monkey Sanctuary and Wild Futures websites and will be shown at The Monkey Sanctuary throughout its open season in 2014.
Cornwall Film Festival is now in its twelfth year and is developing a year round programme of activity to promote Cornish, international, independent and specialised cinema to new audiences and to support a diverse range of filmmaking and media production.
The Festival will again take place at Lighthouse Cinema in Newquay this year, from 7th – 10th November and will include Screen Actions young person’s film festival.
