LEAF is excited to announce some new additions to the bill for the first London Electronic Arts Festival this November. Diplo will headline a show at The Oval Space, Bethnal Green following straight after the sold out Major Lazer show at Brixton Academy. The event will start at midnight and run through to 4.30am.

Also, to celebrate the inaugural LEAF event, Duke Dumont and Le Youth will play the opening party in association with Bugged Out at the LEAF HUB in the Shoreditch Electric Light Station. In between these two shows, Chris Liebing will play an extended set at a secret east London warehouse location at a party in partnership with London Warehouse Events.

One of 2013’s breakout successes, Duke Dumont will be joined by Le Youth, bringing his own unique West Coast sound to London, to kick things off at the LEAF HUB on 7th November and ensure the first ever LEAF begins with a bang. Closing the festival, LEAF is proud to present Beardyman at The Oval Space on 10th November, the innovative musician, performer and consummate showman who will bring his Beardytron to London, following a rapt reception at TED earlier this year.

On the 8th November, LEAF and LWE will present a marathon set from techno pioneer Chris Liebing, who will take a rapt audience at The Laundry on a six hour exploration of the genre in his inimitable style.

Fri 8 November:

18.45 Film: Metropolis – Re–scored and Introduced by Giorgio Moroder (£10 / Free with delegates badge)

21:00 Film: Rob da Bank Re-Scores King Kong Live (£12.50 / Free with delegates badge)

Tickets for all these events are on sale now.

Celebrating the cultural significance of electronic music, LEAF will focus on how the genre has influenced visual art, film and live music. At the festival hub, there will be keynote talks from the legendary Giorgio Moroder, New Order in conversation about the recording of their 1989 Technique album and William Orbit on the science of sound. Also at the LEAF HUB will be an exclusive event for badge holders with Boiler Room, presenting Eats Everything, MK and Rob da Bank – all appearing on the platform for the very first time.
