By Joshua.

I haven’t seen this before, so I was on the edge of my seat. It’s scary without showing gore.

An ex-con, played by Robert Mitchum is out for revenge against the man who testified against him at his trial,Gregory Peck. He gets involved into the trail lawyer’s life, stalking his lovely wife and teenage daughter.

It all ends in a showdown on the river Cape Fear.

Gregory Peck is amazing, as  is the final showdown.

Bernard Hermann’s score for the film is perfect, and ranks right along with his scores for Alfred Hitchcock.
