It’s (very) short notice (that’s my fault). but I have something to pass onto you, if you are interested.
“Hi there,
Hope you don’t mind me getting in touch out of the blue. I work at a creative agency called Poke and we’re looking for two friends that would make great presenters for a new online show we’re working on.
jonathan@pokelondon.com
Here’s the brief:
Wanted: two funny friends to present new online show
1. What’s it for?
Poke is planning an online show to cover all the latest film releases. We’re looking for two friends to present the show and give it a twist with their own sense of creativity. It’ll be up and running over several months, so we need you to be committed and up for the job (yes it’s a paid job ;-))for that amount of time.
2. Who are we looking for?
If you’re a right old pair that love the movies and having a good natter about what you see, you could be exactly what we’re looking for. But most of all you need to be creative, and have a fresh, original way to review the movies that you’ll see. It’s all about what you say, how you say it, and how hard it makes us laugh. It doesn’t matter if you’re a pair of girls, a couple of lads, or a girl and a guy – as long as you’re over 16 you can apply.
Flying solo? Don’t worry — if you think you’ve got the movie knowledge and the mouth to match but don’t have a buddy, you can still apply on your own. If we think you rock, we’ll find a partner for you.
3. How do I apply?
All applications should be made by midday on Monday 8th March 2010 and the physical auditions from a shortlist of applicants will take place in London on Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th March 2010.
Send a link to a video you’ve recently made either on your own or with your friend to jonathan (at) pokelondon.com. It should be one that you’re really proud of, shows off your skills and proves to us that you’re exactly what we’re looking for. The more original, quirky and funny the better – making us laugh is right up there on our selection criteria.
PS: We need to see your faces on camera, hear you loud and clear and need the video to be under two minutes (You can edit a sequence from a longer film if you need to cut a long video down.”
Give it a go.
