Oscar winner Roger Avary faces jail time after pleading guilty to vehicular manslaughter and driving drunk.
The Pulp Fiction screenwriter is accused of causing the death of a passenger in his Mercedes, while driving under the influence.
Avary, who shares his Best Screenplay Oscar with Quentin Tarantino, will be sentenced in California next month.
The 43-year-old writer’s wife was injured when the Mercedes he was driving hit a telephone pole in Ojai, California in January, 2008. A friend, Andreas Zini, was killed. Avary has previously apologised for the accident.
