I’ve been eagerly awaiting this film, great to have Robin Williams returning to darker comedy, his last brilliant comedy was the sadly under-rated ‘Death to Smoochy’ and besides that his better recent output has been dramatic flicks like ‘One Hour Photo’ and ‘Insomnia’. This looks promising.
I personally think ‘Death to Smoochy’ is one of the finest dark comedies that’s come out of Hollywood in a very, very long time and though not in the same leagues as such almighty dark comedies like ‘The King Of Comedy’, ‘The Ladykillers’ (original) and ‘Heathers’ it’s a mad, ballsy, but most importantly funny flick. I highly recommend it to anyone with a slightly offbeat sense of humour.

I haven’t seen Death To Smoochy, was it any good? I love Catherine Keener, and I think Devito is a decent helmer. I’ll LoveFilm it (if it’s on there).

I’m excited now!
Stuck it up on Lovefilm, waiting eagerly.
