BRWC represents a fantastic opportunity for aspiring writers, so we’re looking for contributors to write about film and television on a solid, regular basis. If you write for us, we can give you the platform to promote your love for writing, and your passion for all types of film; blockbusters, world cinema, shorts, independent and genre cinema.
Benefits include being able to see films before they’re released, attending film festivals and other events and gaining valuable writing experience.
You’ll also be part of the BRWC family, and we will give you immediate access to a loyal and growing readership.
Below is a list of what we are looking for. We are flexible and approachable so please let us know your ideas.
Associate Editors – We need help enhancing what we have on the website. Reviewing and editing the work of contributors, promoting deadlines, and overseeing sections of the site.
News Writers – Producing film and television news pieces with a particular emphasis on casting news, trailers and clips and editing press releases.
Feature Writers – We are always looking for list based content, opinion pieces and other long form writing on film.
Interview/Press Junket Editors – Attending press junkets, roundtables and interviewing filmmakers, actors, etc. Mainly London based, but opportunities for telephone and Skype interviews are available.
Reviewers – Cinema releases, short films, online links, Netflix, Amazon Prime, home entertainment, books and anything else film/TV related. We would love to share your thoughts on BRWC.
Podcasters/Video Bloggers – Would you like to create audio/video content for BRWC? We would love to set up a podcast and a regular show. We are looking for content for our YouTube, Vimeo and Soundcloud channels.
Promotion Team – Help us promote and grow BRWC via our social channels; Twitter, MailChimp, YouTube, Vimeo, Instagram and Letterboxd.
No experience is necessary to join us at BRWC. We would expect a good level of spelling and grammar, as well as a genuine interest, knowledge and passion in film. WordPress knowledge would be great but not essential.
Please browse through our site and familiarise yourself with our content and our voices, to get an idea of what we’re looking for.
