    With their father lost in anger and self-loathing, “Truck” Wheeler has raised his younger brother Ted as best as he could. In return, Ted idolizes his brother. Now, during their one year of high school together, Ted will realize there are troubling aspects to Truck and his party-hard gang, “The Kings.” Seen through the eyes of both brothers, Ted slowly struggles in the allure of “The Kings” and Truck comes to that pivotal point where he must realize if he has what it takes to walk away.

    Almost Kings was the winner of the Netflix Find Your Voice Film Competition and screened to acclaim at the Los Angeles Film Festival, the Star Denver Film Festival, and the Cleveland International Film Festival.

    The pictures feature the wise-guy New York bred Top Cat crashing in on some iconic British shots. The first image sees Top Cat with Kate Middleton on her wedding-day, another sees Top Cat and the entire gang brining their NYC swagger to Abbey Road and the final picture sees the gang on an open-top bus cruising around London.

    Joe (Martin Compston) is a mild mannered young man bored by his humdrum London life. When his beloved brother (Neil Maskell) is murdered, Joe finds solace in Piggy, one of his brother’s old friends. Piggy helps Joe to cope with grief, intent on saving him and helping him get justice for his brother’s killing.

    As their friendship grows Joe finds himself in an increasing dangerous and murky world of violence and revenge. As Joe life collapses around him he starts to question who Piggy really is, and how honest he’s really been with him. When Joe confronts Piggy a series of events are put in place that lead to a disastrous climax.

    With an electrifying performance from Paul Anderson in the title role, Piggy signals the arrival of director Kieron Hawkes as a major new force in gritty British cinema.

    Welsh born director Gareth Evans, will bring his hit Indonesian action film The Raid, back to Wales for a special event premiere involving 11 simultaneous screenings across the country on Wednesday 16th May.

    Already touted as 2012’s best action film and receiving rave reviews from the press, The Raid has wowed audiences across the globe and introduced legions of action fans to the newest martial arts superstar, Iko Uwais.

    Deep in the heart of Jakarta’s slums stands an impenetrable apartment block; a safe house for the city’s most dangerous killers and gangsters and considered untouchable to even the bravest of police.  Cloaked under the cover of pre-dawn darkness and silence, an elite SWAT team is tasked with raiding the safe house in order to take down the notorious drug lord that runs it. When rookie cop Rama is the last man standing, he must fight his way to the top of the building to complete the mission and escape with his life.

    The Raid is the winner of the 2011 Midnight Madness People’s Choice Audience Award at the Toronto Film Festival, the Audience and Critics’ Choice Awards at the 2012 Jameson Dublin International Film Festival and was a sold out hit at the 2012 Sundance and SXSW Festivals.

    The Raid also features an original score by Linkin Parks’ Mike Shinoda and Joe Trapanese (TRON: LEGACY).

    The film will receive its red carpet Welsh premiere at the Cardiff, Cineworld on the evening of Wednesday 16th May and simultaneous preview screenings will be held at the following cinemas;
