    At Silver Falls First Image!

Here is the first image from supernatural thriller At Silver Falls ahead of its’ Cannes screening.

At Silver Falls, directed by up-and-coming US filmmaker Brett Donowho, will have its international market screening at Cannes.

Inspired by the true-story of the unsolved murders of two twin girls, At Silver Falls draws us into the shadowy, malevolent world of ‘Silver Falls’, a small town plagued by a series of unexplained deaths. When newly arrival Jordan, an orphaned teenager (played by movie debutant Alix Elizabeth Gitter), becomes haunted by the ghost of a murdered young girl, she is compelled to uncover the shocking truth…

Director Brett Donowho says about the film: “At Silver Falls is as much a mystery thriller as it is a horror film. The emphasis is on story and character development, rather than the sudden scary jumps and visual effects often associated with the genre. But don’t worry, there’s plenty of those as well!”

    Sweet.

Mother Joan Of The Angels Restored

A celebrated landmark of Polish cinema, the award-winning Mother Joan of the Angels has been restored from its original materials and is presented in a new high-definition transfer.

Taking the infamous and documented ‘demonic possession’ of a group of Ursuline nuns in Loudun, France in 1634 as his starting point (events subsequently also adapted by Ken Russell for his notorious film The Devils), director Jerzy Kawalerowicz creates an intensely provocative and visually astonishing film. Aided by an extraordinary performance by Lucyna Winnicka as Mother Joan, Kawalerowicz’s masterpiece is a profoundly disturbing exploration of faith, repression, fanaticism and sexuality.

    10 Most Corrupt Movie Cops

    Here’s one…

    Dennis Peck, Internal Affairs

You may have trouble picturing Richard Gere as anything but Julia Roberts’ movie soul mate, but he also knows how to play a cop-gone-bad. Gere’s character Dennis Peck, a patrolman with some questionable morals, is a guy you never want to run across, whether he’s on duty or off. At first, you think he’s just a little crooked when it comes to protecting his fellow officers, but it’s worse than that. He sleeps with the wives of his associates, arranges a hit on his partner, and tries to manipulate the internal affairs officers who are investigating him. He’s cold, ruthless, and hiding behind a badge.

    The rest are here.
