Friday, the comedy co-written by Ice Cube, introduced the world to Chris Tucker in his first starring role. Ice Cube plays Craig Jones, a young man who becomes unemployed after being accused of stealing. Along with his drug dealer friend Smokey ( Chris Tucker) they sit on his front porch and observe the events going on in their neighbourhood. Enriched with comedy and parody, Friday is known and remembered for the dynamic duo that is Chris Tucker and Ice Cube.
