If you talk with people that have been watching movies for a really long time, you will quickly notice the fact that they are not at all happy with the amount of entertainment that they receive. This is due to many different reasons. The truth is that we are now faced with a huge evolution of the movie industry. New movies appear every single week and during special seasons, thousands of movies are launched.
We are faced with a highly controversial topic. For many the new movies are much more entertaining but for those that are a little older, it is definitely not the case. This is what we are going to talk about right now. Here are the main reasons why you may find movies to be less entertaining at the moment.
An Increased Focus On Special Effects
Special effects become a lot more common with every single movie. Computers are now at a point at which they can basically generate everything so there are no real limits in terms of what visuals can be obtained. While this is obviously something that should add to the value of a movie, there are too many producers that forget about the acting side of things. This is what creates a less than memorable environment for those that watch movies for the performance of the actors.
Increased Product Placement
In an attempt to make as much money as possible, production companies end up exaggerating with product placement. This can become bothersome in various circumstances. It is really important that you understand the fact that this is sometimes necessary but being able to simply know all the logo quiz answers level 1 after simply watching a bunch of movies is exaggerated.
Bad Soundtracks
A few years ago we saw a lot of time and effort being put into developing a soundtrack that was perfect for the movie. There were even many composers that were specialized in movie scores. It is quite difficult to find new movies that have really great soundtracks due to the fact that there is not a lot of focus put on the music that is used. A movie that does not have a good soundtrack will not be entertaining since music is paramount in setting the proper mood for any film.
Lack Of Acting Training
This is a really huge problem for many movies that are launched today. It is normal for some of the actors to be chosen based on their looks but when this becomes the only thing that is of interest for those that produce or direct the movie, problems appear. There are basically hundreds of movies that feature leading actors without any acting language. This is a clear recipe for disaster.
On the whole, we can say that many see movies as being less entertaining because of the main focus being put on generating a profit. This does speed up production times and often leads to releasing a movie that is not actually finished or not even releasing a movie because it is not finished.
